A change in style for Yellowstone National Park

For Yellowstone, we will be abandoning the epistolary style of writing, and instead opt to group blog entries by type of activity. Some of the more significant outings will get their own individual entry.

The reason for this decision because  of the diversity of things to do in Yellowstone, as well as the large intervals of time between geyser eruptions (and the unpredictable nature of wildlife sightings). In other parts of the trip, our adventures were somewhat themed. In Yellowstone, we may spend part of a day waiting for a geyser, go off and do a hike, then return to see another geyser explode.

However, part of this blog is an attempt to keep a public journal of our trip -- if only for our records. Here is a day-by-day summary of what we did
